What Digesto does
Public portal
A home page with shortcuts to constitutions, laws and decrees, historical norms, adherence to national legislation and municipal charters. No sign-up needed.
Search
Free text across title, summary and body, recognizing formal citations such as "Ley VIII Nº 91". Filters by branch, validity and year, plus a calendar of sessions.
Norm record
Enactment, promulgation, publication and Official Gazette; original and consolidated text one click apart; repealed and vetoed articles marked; amendment history, printing and PDF.
Amendment editor
Shows what the amending law orders next to the text of the affected norm. Each change is applied with one click and can be undone, and it warns when a law is loaded out of order.
Traceability
A timeline with the original text, the baseline and one version per amending law, showing the articles each one changed. Supports replacement, repeal, insertion, errata, partial veto and extension.
New norms
Paste the text and the system splits it into titles, chapters, articles and clauses, so the split can be reviewed before confirming.
Consolidations and bills
Consolidation milestones, with renumbering and a correspondence table, and bills with their files and checklist.
Validity alerts
A daily check flags norms that expire or are due for review. The system warns, but never retires a norm on its own.
Roles and audit
Head, Technician and Lawyer roles, with permissions per screen and per button. Every action is logged with author and date, and the log cannot be edited or deleted.
How it works
The amending law is loaded
Once, with its record and its text.
Changes are applied
Article by article on each affected norm. Only the articles concerned change.
The new version is published
Only the Head or someone with that permission can publish. Published versions are read-only.
The portal shows it
The consolidated text and its history, without drafts or internal data.
A web application used from the browser, with nothing to install on workstations. It runs on the organization's servers or in the cloud, is loaded with the current digest data and includes a test environment to validate with the team before going live.
